BMT announces new subsidiary Managing Director

BMT Ltd has today announced the appointment of Roger Cooper as Managing Director of its subsidiary company in Bath, BMT Defence Services Ltd. Roger has been with BMT Defence Services since 1991, firstly as Head of Engineering and latterly as Projects Director. He has also been a member of the Board for the past 11 years. Roger has over 30 years of warship design and shipbuilding experience in the UK and Far East as a professional engineer. His work has encompassed concept design through contract negotiation, purchasing, production, acceptance and commissioning to logistic support.
Roger replaces Dr Andrew Tyler, who has been promoted to the position of Operations Director for parent company BMT, with effect from 1st October. Andrew Tyler retains his link with BMT Defence Services by becoming Chairman of that company.
