Attack Helicopter (AH) Mid-Life Update URD
BMT Hi-Q Sigma was contracted to use a model driven requirements approach, using the MOD Architecture Framework (MODAF) to produce a User Requirements Document (URD) for the Apache Army Helicopter Mark1 looking out of 2020 and beyond.

Medium Armoured Tracks Team (MATT) DLoD
BMT Hi-Q Sigma's role was to integrate the DLoDs within a major equipment programme, a service that has not previously been provided before in equipment procurement. This included the construction of a Capability Integration Plan, capture of DLoD risks, issues, and assumptions. On a wider scale this also involved building relationships within the programme and wider stakeholder community. The key aspect of this role was to identify the dependencies between the DLoDs to ensure that the overall capability is delivered to the user.

Tomahawk and Harpoon Weapon System Delivery Team
BMT Hi-Q Sigma developed a management tool for the Tomahawk and Harpoon Weapon System (THWS) Delivery Team that improves decision making, whilst reducing the reporting burden on the team. The tool we created enabled the THWS Delivery Team to assess individual project ‘capabilities' through an understanding of associated risk, schedule, and assumptions. The team can now visually present the assessment against both single capabilities and role-up against parent capabilities. This was achieved by importing all project data into a single environment which also allowed for the maintenance of historical data to understand project trends.

Optimised Support Planning - URD
Within the MOD the Equipment Support Continuous Improvement Team (ESCIT) has developed an Optimised Support Planning (OSP) process which standardises good planning practices and enables equipment support funding decisions to be made in a considered and effective manner.

DEA - Casualty Tracking Information Requirements
DG Info are currently undertaking a Defence Enterprise Architecture (DEA) study to demonstrate the benefits of rolling out Enterprise Architecture across defence. BMT Hi-Q Sigma was contracted to undertake a pilot study intended to apply Enterprise Architecture techniques to the end to end casualty tracking process from point of wounding at the front line through to the recovery within the NHS system in the UK, and to determine the information requirements necessary to support the process.

Personal Emergency Location System - Data Management System
BMT supported the ICE IPT in delivering a bespoke Data Management System to fill an identified capability gap. We used a team with a broad range of expertise to deliver a combined Systems Engineering and Project Management output.

Controlled Values Repository (CVR)
BMT Hi-Q Sigma was contracted to develop a web based solution to the Controlled Values Repository (CVR) which holds reference data for the Information Coherence Authority for Defence (ICAD). The CVR is hosted on the DII and is fully compliant with the DII Application Developers Guide and uses standard open technologies recommended and approved by DII.

Repository Coherence Analysis Tool (RCAT)
RCAT supports the exchange and analysis of models across enterprise architectures, where the architectures may be held in different repositories, and across different architecture tools. Hi-Q Sigma has been contracted by the MoD to develop variants of RCAT to accommodate MooD, METIS, ISSE, MS Excel and IBM System Architect.

Canadian DND
BMT Hi-Q Sigma recently conducted a review of a major Canadian Defence Procurement Programme, with the objective of advising on how to implement and manage an effective earned value management system.
